Hm.. I think I skipped a few days...
We have been eating well and Rick has been exercising more than I have. He dropped his car off at the shop and walked home today. I walked to my car and drove to work-not quite the same.
Tonight is bowling league so I'll get some exercise...some from actually bowling and some from jumping up and down when I throw a crappy shot.
My mosquito bites are starting to resolve.. I don't look like I have 3rd degree burns on my arm and thigh anymore. I ordered some very interesting essential oil called Lemon Eucalyptus oil and it should be delivered soon. Once I get that and mix it with either olive oil or vodka (nope, not kidding), I'll spray it on myself and go outside and see if the mosquitoes find me less palatable.
I need to get back out in to the garden. I started some seeds at home and they are looking rather fab!
So as soon as they are a little stronger and I'm a little more resistant to skeeter cooties, I'll transplant these bad boys outside!
Below is an editorial I received from one of my good pals. She often emails me with some amazing rants... this is her latest one-it's about Mother's Day.
"I happen to think that Mothers Day is a huge crock of crapola. Besides the obvious obligations that are associated with the day, it reinforces ideas that are counter-productive to being an emotionally healthy woman. Mothers Day is like giving the old donkey a dried out carrot to keep on going. The greeting card messages include things like: "You do so much for others"; "You put yourself last"; "You think of everyone else first"; "You never expect anything back". Well, I propose we trade Mothers Day in and replace it with Bitch Day!
Happy Bitch Day!
This is a day for you to do for yourself, to do what you want, to be self-indulgent, to be self-reflective, or whatever it is you want. Bitch Day is a day where you don't have to put on a happy face and make like you are thrilled to perform mundane duties. It would be a day when you don't have to make dinner for the extended family or go out for dinner with people that you may prefer not to spend time with on 'your special day'. I can't wait to see the Hallmark cards for the occasion, "For you, the biggest bitch in my life"."
...written by a mother for mothers everywhere.
Well said my friend!
Awww ... what are you growing?? I love your little sprouts!!! And I think it's pretty sad we have to have "days" designated to honoring the people in our lives who should be honored on a daily basis, not ONCE out of 365 days, you know??

Christine, you make a good point... I did a little research. I found a lot of interesting info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother%27s_Day My mother has this quote at the bottom of her email: "A child says to his father "If you love me prove it by the way you treat my mother."
